Murmushi in partnership with CPPLI is implementing Child Protection and Education projects in Madagali, Michika, Mubi North, and Gombi LGAs of Adamawa State. The project focused on enhancing the overall well-being of conflict-affected children and their caregivers through access to quality child protection and education services that align with global standards and best practices. CPPLI is implementing the child protection component of the project, while, MPDF is implementing the education component of the project with the sole mandate of enhancing access to quality education for out-of-school children, building the capacity of education stakeholders to deliver quality education services to the affected population as well as refurbish learning centers, water points and latrines in the targeted communities of intervention to promote access to education

Contribution
The NHF project is designed to support the achieving of education sector strategic Objectives 1 to 3 for the 2024 response and is in line with the sector’s strategic
objective 2.2 focuses on improving adequate access to quality basic services including water, food, education and health for IDPs, returnees and host population.
Impact
This supported in addressing the needs of most children who missed their schools, including those who have been internally displaced, often multiple times, and children residing in communities or displacement sites with limited or virtually non-existent access to education services.

OOSC Sessions
Conduct sessions for out of school children in the alternative learning centers and enrol 400 OOSC across 4 LGAs; 492 OOSC were enrolled with same budget
Learning Centers
Refurbishment of 4 alternative learning center classrooms across 4 LGAs ; We succeeded in renovating 12 classrooms across the 4 LGAs
Vocational Training, Back to School Campaign and Sensitization on Disability Inclusion
Adolescents
Conduct vocational training for 120 adolescents across 4 LGAs in line with the EIE guidelines; we enrolled 193 with the same budget
Back-to-School Campaign
Conduct back-to-school campaigns (1500) to promote children enrolment, We reached 1822 beneficiaries across 4 LGAs using same budget
Disability Inclusion
Conduct sensitization of 40 field staff on disability inclusion; Conducted the Training in Mubi
WASH Facilities
- Refurbishment of 4 segregated toilets , we succeeded in renovating 4 toilets across the 4 LGAs with a total of 20 VIP laterines
Rehabilitation of 4 hand pumps boreholes across the 4 LGAs; We succeeded in Converting the 4 hand pump boreholes to solar powered across 4 LGAs with overhead tanks with same budget

ECD Kits
Procurement of 12 ECD kits to reach 600 children across 4 LGAs
Teacher Training
Training of 60 teachers on psychosocial support and referral pathway, and 50 teachers on improved teaching and learning approaches
SBMC Training
Train 48 SBMC members on school management and monitoring: 52 SBMC members trained with same budget
Materials Distribution
Procured education and scholastic materials and learning kits for 500 learners across 4 LGAs ; We succeeded in providing for 532 learners with same budget
Future Plans
Funding
Pursue funding opportunities to sustain project impact by promoting level 1 ABEP learners to level 2, enrolling a new set of level 1 learners in seven LGAs, and expanding overall project activities
Lessons Learnt
With Zero toerance to corruption, organizations wil be able to utilize funds and do more for our people and communities
The experience from this project will be valuable in informing future initiatives and ensuring continued positive impact in the lives of children in Adamawa State
