Project Goals
To promote social cohesion and peaceful coexistence among communities affected by insurgency in Hong LGA through sports, advocacy, and capacity-building initiatives
Key Achievements
Conducted advocacy visits to government and traditional leaders, securing strong stakeholder commitment.
Mapped and selected six school sports grounds and two community playgrounds across three communities for peace-focused activities.
Administered 120 questionnaires to identify community peacebuilding needs.
Trained 30 community and religious leaders during a three-day Conflict Transformation Workshop, enhancing skills in mediation, dialogue, and conflict prevention.
Established Community Peacebuilding Networks (CPNs) and identified local facilitators for continued interventions.
Improved collaboration and trust among diverse ethnic and religious groups and between communities and local authorities.
Enhanced local capacity for conflict prevention and promoted sustained peaceful coexistence
