Before this intervention facilitated by Murmushi and sponsored by British council, citizens living in Mubi North ,Mubi South ,Michika and Hong LGAs of Adamawa state  were living in disharmony .The women, youths and less privileged ,PLWD were not carried along in decision making in the affairs that concern them ,in view of this ,MPDF initiated this platform to bring all stakeholders together which is all about inclusiveness.

The success stories emanating from these meetings and follow- ups are enormous .An instance is the case of a mad woman walking naked in Mubi North who was spotted by the committee. Members were assigned to handle the case by contacting social welfare, under the women ministry. With this development, the woman is no longer walking naked but has been taken care of by Murmushi People’s Development Foundation. Another case in point is the lack of cultivate/ drainage system in a particular spot in Mubi North. The committee took it upon itself to contact the relevant individuals/ agencies, starting from the councilors to ministry of works ,now the culvert/ drainage has been constructed which has removed the bottle neck earlier experienced.

Lawyers have also been provided to defend the less privileged in the court to ensure justice .The National Orientation Agency (NOA) were contacted in orienting the society on security tips. With this effort, citizens became enlightened as it concerns security matters.
This platform has succeeded in bringing all stakeholders together, security issues and other safety and societal issues have been handled amicably by outlining channels of reporting and handling security matters.
