EMPOWERMENT OF YOUTHS IN IDPs CAMP AND HOST COMMUNITIES IN GIREI AND YOLA SOUTH LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA OF ADAMAWA STATE meeting
The executive director presented a concept note which highlighted the aims and objective of the organization towards fostering peace, social cohesion, re-integration of IDPs back to their communities.
In his speech, He says the initiative seeks to broaden the spectrum of skill areas, from conventional areas to new areas, he also highlighted the need to train the youths in the affected communities(Internally displaced) on specific skills, which Fairways communications will be engaged for the purpose of the training.
The training is targeted on fifty (50) persons from Yola south and Girei LocaL government on various media techniques.
ACTIVITIES
- To facilitate training of (50) selected youths in video & film making.
- To facilitate cooperative associations among young persons.
- To facilitate youth involvement in the production of documentaries on peace & reconciliation.
- To facilitate accessibility of trained youths to gainful self employment.
Session on Youth Empowerment in IDPs camp & Host Communities in Girei & Yola South Local Government Area of Adamawa State
Fairways Film Academy is embarking on a four (4) weeks training session of (50) beneficiaries of host communities and IDPs camp in Girei & Yola South Local Government Area of Adamawa state.
The objective of the training is to enhance capacity building and to proffer a sustainable livelihood & acquisition of new life-skills for the youths in the community.
