Project Goals

  • Restore inclusive access to quality education for conflict-affected children and adolescents in Adamawa State.

  • Strengthen child protection systems and promote resilience in displaced and vulnerable communities.

  • Empower adolescents through education, vocational training, and psychosocial support.

  • Enhance governance and accountability in education delivery via community engagement.

Key Achievements

  • 492 out-of-school children enrolled in accelerated learning programs.
  • 532 learners received educational materials.
  • 1,822 parents & community members sensitized, leading to an 18% increase in enrollment and improved attendance.
  • 60 teachers and 40 education personnel trained on learner-centered pedagogy, child protection, disability inclusion, and psychosocial support.
  • 7 teachers trained on early childhood education.
  • 193 adolescents enrolled in vocational programs; 143 graduated and received starter kits.
  • 150 youth completed business and financial literacy modules.
  • Strengthened community ownership and resilience through SBMC involvement and inclusive participation.

Key Activities

  • Rehabilitated alternative learning centers and improved WASH facilities (gender-segregated latrines, solar-powered water systems).
  • Distributed scholastic materials to learners.
  • Provided accelerated learning programs in safe, child-friendly spaces.
  • Delivered vocational and life-skills training across five trades.
  • Built the capacity of teachers, SBMCs, and education personnel in pedagogy, psychosocial support, child protection, and inclusion.
  • Conducted community sensitization campaigns to address barriers to education.
  • Promoted inclusive participation and community ownership through SBMC empowerment and back-to-school campaigns.
