Project Goals

To empower widows and vulnerable girls in Mubi North and Mubi South LGAs with sustainable livelihood skills for improved income, self-reliance, and dignity restoration.

Key Achievements

  • Trained 12 widows and girls in practical bead-making skills, including production of beaded bags, jewellery, and accessories which will enable participants to establish small-scale businesses, generating consistent income to support their families.

  • Improved participants’ ability to afford basic needs, including feeding and children’s school fees.

  • Fostered self-reliance and confidence, reducing economic vulnerability and dependence.

  • Some beneficiaries trained additional women in their communities, creating a multiplier effect of empowerment restoring dignity, hope, and social stability among conflict-affected women and girls.

Project Objective

  • To provide practical bead-making training to widows and vulnerable girls affected by insurgency.

  • To create income-generating opportunities that reduce poverty and dependence.

  • To promote economic resilience and social reintegration of conflict-affected women.

  • To encourage peer-to-peer skill transfer and community-based empowerment.
