…..bringing back the smiles

The Computer Training for Unemployed Youth project was implemented in Mubi North and Mubi South LGAs of Adamawa State to address the growing challenge of youth unemployment, which often leads to social vices such as idleness, drug abuse, phone snatching, and other criminal activities. Recognizing the potential of digital literacy as a pathway to empowerment, Murmushi Peoples Development Foundation (MPDF) organized an intensive basic computer training program for 25 unemployed youths, both male and female. The training focused on essential ICT skills, including the use of Microsoft Office applications, internet navigation, and basic troubleshooting, equipping participants with knowledge relevant to modern workplaces.

The project provided a safe and engaging learning environment where participants gained hands-on experience, fostering their confidence and preparing them for both employment and entrepreneurial opportunities in the digital economy. Upon completion of the program, participants received certificates as proof of their newly acquired competencies, positioning them competitively in the job market.
