…..bringing back the smiles

Murmushi People’s Development Foundation implemented a youth empowerment project that trained 50 young people, 40 Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and 10 from host communities in Film and Television production. The initiative introduced a sustainable livelihood approach by equipping participants with creative industry skills in Acting, Directing, Sound Engineering, Videography, and Photography. This hands-on training fostered teamwork, innovation, and self-reliance while preparing beneficiaries for income-generating opportunities in the fast-growing media sector. The project’s impact was evident as several trainees produced short films, joined local production teams, and began offering media services in their communities, thereby reducing unemployment and promoting positive youth engagement in Adamawa State.
