Murmushi People’s Development Foundation (MPDF), in partnership with the Victims Support Fund (VSF), implemented a peacebuilding initiative in Hong LGA to promote social cohesion and coexistence among communities affected by insurgency. The project used sports, advocacy, and capacity-building activities to unite youth and strengthen intergroup relations. MPDF conducted advocacy visits, mapped sports facilities, administered stakeholder questionnaires, and organized a three-day Conflict Transformation Workshop for 30 community and religious leaders. The intervention fostered collaboration between communities and authorities, promoted dialogue, and established Community Peacebuilding Networks (CPNs) that continue to sustain peace and understanding across Hong LGA.
